About Me

Hi, I'm Dawn.  I'm a Gen X gamer, storyteller, mom, and firm believer that gaming has never had an age limit

Long before Twitch, YouTube, or online multiplayer existed, I was sitting in front of my dad's Atari, spending countless hours exploring those early games that sparked a lifelong love of gaming. Like so many Gen X kids, I grew up alongside the gaming industry itself.

Years later, when my own kids were growing up, I "borrowed" their Game Boys more than once to play Pokémon. (Let's be honest... I probably put more hours into them than they did.)

But everything really changed in 2007.

My kids begged for an Xbox 360, and I had one rule: if they were going to play online, they had to play in the living room where I could hear what was being said and keep an eye on who they were talking to.

As I sat there watching them play Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, I remember thinking...

"I could do that."

Their response?  "No you can't, Mom."

CHALLENGE ACCEPTED.

Learning wasn't easy. My first matches were rough, my aim was questionable, and I spent plenty of time wondering why anyone would willingly do this for fun. But little by little, things started to click.

Before long, I wasn't just playing with my kids—I was playing more than they were.

I eventually joined an all-women's clan during Modern Warfare 3, and over the years I dove headfirst into countless first-person shooters, making lifelong friends and creating memories I never expected to find through a video game.

As the years have gone by, life has changed. Like many of us, I've had to adapt to a few health challenges. My reaction time isn't what it used to be, and my hands don't always cooperate the way they once did. While I still enjoy jumping into an FPS now and then, these days you'll usually find me exploring massive RPGs or survival games, getting completely lost in open worlds, or laughing through community game nights.

Ironically, I never set out to become a streamer.

Back during the Destiny 1 days, I was trying to find people to help me complete the Crota raid. That's when I stumbled across a Twitch community called Raid Help 101. Before that moment, I had never even heard of Twitch.

After completing my very first raid with them, I discovered an entirely new world. It wasn't just about playing games anymore—it was about sharing the experience with other people.

I was hooked.  I've been streaming ever since.

When Twitch introduced the Affiliate Program, I was fortunate enough to earn Affiliate status on my birthday—a milestone that made an already special day unforgettable. Since then, I've spent years building friendships, sharing adventures, laughing through victories, and occasionally failing in spectacular fashion.

In 2026, I expanded to TikTok, where the community welcomed me with incredible support and growth. Meeting new people, making new friends, and creating a place where everyone feels welcome has become one of my favorite parts of streaming.

Gaming has never been about being the best player in the lobby.

It's about the stories.

The friendships.

The laughter.

The unforgettable moments that happen when people come together to share an adventure.

Around here, you'll probably hear me laugh until I cry. You might hear me yell when a boss wipes the team or when someone insists on backseat gaming after I've already walked off the cliff. It happens.

But underneath the jokes, sarcasm, and occasional "seriously?!" moments is a community built on respect, encouragement, and having fun together. We celebrate each other's victories. We help each other through the tough levels. We laugh at our mistakes. And no matter what game we're playing, we're in this adventure together.

Whether you've been gaming for forty years or you're picking up a controller for the first time, there's a place for you here.

So grab a controller, pull up a chair, and stay awhile. Welcome to the family.

"They told me I couldn't play video games. Twenty years later... I'm still proving them wrong."
